The Secret of Monkey Island was one of my first point and click adventures, and is still one of the best. The music, humour and characters kicked off a long line of excellent adventure games.

The soundtrack I review here is of the CD-ROM edition for the PC, which is a 256 color re-release of the game from 1992.

One of the best tracks is the 'Secret of Monkey Island Theme', which is a staple of all following Monkey Island soundtracks. Another favorite is 'Melee Island', a really mellow track with lots of little bells and whistles throughout.

I really like the instruments used in this OST; it feels like a mix between electronic and regular instruments and has an overall exotic vibe to it.
