I played this game quite a bit over a span of 2 weeks, and was struck by the nice 8-bit feel of the soundtrack. I didn't manage to finish the game, so I decided to check out the soundtrack to see what music I missed. The game soundtrack is 37 minutes long, which might seem on the short side considering the rogue-like, grinding nature of the game. Luckily, the tracks here are smooth and catchy and are a good backdrop for hours of playing.

With 19 tracks and 37 minutes, the tracklength varies between 1 and 3 minutes..while the songs work well for the game, I think some longer tracks would've worked better to combat the eventual repetitive feel of the OST.

The first song you will hear during a few hours in the castle is 'Trilobyte', which has a upbeat feeling with a lowkey breakdown halfway.

The boss music has a speedy, frantic feel to it, perfect for accentuating the boss fights.

If you like the OST and want to hear more, there's also a remix album out: Rogue Legacy Reborn.
